Ride Loca is a mobile application that pairs riders with the nearest driver to take them to their desired destination. We promise to deliver safe, efficient and reliable service for both our riders and drivers. We provide our drivers with the latest technology to help the riders get to their destination. We priorities the safety of riders by providing them with updated information about driver’s location & their details to help put the mind of the rider and their family & friends at ease. Currently, we operate within Dundee and look to share a portion of the company’s profits with locally trusted charities.

Account creation and bookings

Currently our App can be downloaded on any Apple mobile device by visiting Apple store (iOS App) and any Android device by visiting Google’s Play store (Android App). Search and download Ride
Loca App Give the application access to your location services, this may be appearing in your phone settings and may vary from different models of phones, so pls allow all necessary access to your location
services and make sure it remains on. Ride Loca only uses your location while the app is in use, it never runs in the background eating up your internet data

Upon opening the application, you will be given two methods to log in. Mobile phone number or your Facebook account.

To login using Mobile Phone number press the mobile phone button and select UK, enter your mobile number with UK prefix (+44) and press continue. Please wait for the OTP number via SMS. If you
do not receive the OTP code via SMS within 30 seconds then press the call me option on right hand screen, you should receive an automated call with your OTP. If, however you are still unable to get
an OTP code please contact RL customer support through the website support, we will help assist you further.

Once your OTP code is entered correctly then you will be asked to enter your personal details

Once completed please check your email to confirm the verification email and click to verify your account. It’s important to enter your current active email address to receive your trip receipts

All our ride services are cashless enabled meaning you can pay by Credit/Debit card. You can do this simply by adding a Credit/Debit card onto your account. This is one time set up process
making it easy for you to use it in future.  To add or change payment card details credit/debit card Select the main menu and select wallet and add or change payment card. At this screen add your card number with expiry date and your security code.  Then press save. You may be prompted to identify your identity for added security.  Once this step is completed your card will be encrypted and saved for future rides by our payment gateway provider (STRIPE).  Ride Loca does not have access to your card details or any of your other financial details for this matter.  It is important to note that you can only change your card payment option before you request a ride. Once you have requested the ride the payment card option cannot be changed.  In the rare event if your payment card has been declined, then rider must pay the driver by paying cash to settle the fare and contact Ride Loca chat support or contact your bank directly to resolve this issue.

Ride Loca provide several vehicle options to their customers to get to their destination safely and comfortably. Currently, we have three types of vehicle to choose from Regular, Regular Plus and XL (7-Seats).
To select a vehicle option for your ride:
1. Open your app and enter your destination address
2. Bottom of your map, you will find three options Regular, Regular Plus and XL (7-Seater) depending on their availability.
3. Select one of the available vehicle categories
4. Follow the remaining steps in the app to complete the booking
Regular capacity to carry 4 passengers with limited boot space. Regular Plus also carries 4 passengers with plentiful space to carry extra luggage.  Regular plus can carry a normal size Wheel-chair with one extra passenger.
XL can carry 7 passengers or one wheel-chair with two extra passengers. We may change or add more vehicle types in future.
Prices on all are charged at same the rate but the capacity to carry luggage and passenger varies an extra charge are applied for carrying extra luggage items or extra persons at the rate of 40p per head.
After booking your ride you do not have an option to change the vehicle type. To make changes you have to cancel a ride and book again. Cancellation charges may apply.

You can only request one vehicle at a time. If you require multiple vehicles, please get one of your colleagues to book the ride through Ride Loca app as per requirement. Currently the system only pairs each ride
request with an individual driver. This feature may be updated in future.

We follow the Tariffs set by Dundee city council and we do not charge any serge or extra hidden charges onto customer’s fare. You have the option to view your estimated fare, which provides a fairly good
reflection of the actual price range of your ride request. However, there are several reasons to why the actual fare may vary from the estimated fare and it can never be 100% accurate.
1. You make extra stops
2. You change your destination
3. Your driver waits several minutes at your pickup location
4. More traffic on route
5. Any diversions

please note the fares out with City boundaries will be charged at differently, in some cases, boundary charges are applicable to help compensate the drivers for the dead miles as they leave their licensed area of operations.

Before starting the ride

When ordering your ride after selecting the type of vehicle required, you can then scroll up to view the option for estimated fare. Press the estimated fare field and this enables you to view your estimated fare details
besides time and distance of travel.

Please note that actual Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) will vary as real life scenarios cannot be calculated by google maps, such as accuracy of traffic information or route diversions. It is best to contact the driver in
order to get more accurate ETA, please keep in mind that the drivers may not be able to answer your call as all drivers are expected to obey traffic laws at all times.

We work with our driver-partners to provide seamless services to our customers. It is hard to provide a specific driver for the ride due to multiple reasons. Our system automatically connects you to the nearest possible
drivers. All our drivers are friendly have attained customer services training and above all they are SVQ Level 3 qualified. We try our best to make your journey safe, comfortable and Hassell-free.

You can track your driver’s location and their ETA on your mobile device. You can contact the driver directly to confirm live update and have a clear understanding to what’s causing the delay. If the driver is running later
than 5 minutes of shown ETA then you can cancel the ride request with zero cancelation fee being applied.

This feature is currently not available. As we opt-in this feature, we will update our valued customers.

During the Ride

Yes, you can please notify your driver at the start of the journey.

Yes you can update your trip. To do this please press the edit button next to your current location. You can type in your new location or select it from saved location. Driver will be notified on their app, however please
also confirm the change of destination with your driver to avoid any unnecessary misunderstanding.

Currently the feature of adding stops along your journey isn’t available. You can request your driver for quick stops along your journey. i.e. like picking up your friends along the way. Please do not expect the driver to be
waiting for extended periods of time. Please seek driver’s approval for lengthy stops, our drivers will do their very best to fulfil your request but sometimes it is not possible, as there may be a number of genuine reasons.
Ride Loca cannot influence the drivers to fulfil such requests as the decision would be on driver’s discretion. Under certain conditions the driver may end your ride and request you to book a new ride.

Once driver accepts the ride you cannot change the method of payment. You must select the preferred payment method before confirming your ride request.

After the Ride (Payments, Pricing & Cancelations)

The Ride Loca App is free to download and we have no hidden costs or booking fees. You simply pay what’s on the meter, the taxi meters are regulated and inspected by the local city council. You have the option to pay
by Credit/Debit card through the Ride Loca App, or pay the driver in Cash. You can also tip the driver either by cash or by card through the App.
Here we can give you a quick insight into how taxi fares are calculates. There are numerous tariffs set by council varying from Daytime, Evenings, Weekend Evenings and Festive Periods
Our minimum base fare starts at £3.20. Extra 0.40p is added for each additional passenger or luggage. (excluding shopping bags or prams, please follow local council guidelines). We follow the local council guidelines for
calculating the fares, which is designed by both the time and distance. The fare sheet is provided in the pdf file. Fare estimate is based on time and distance plus base fare. It is near impossible to get 100% accuracy to
merge the GPS system with vehicle meters, hence there will always be a slight variance. Please refer to Dundee city council fare list for in depth review. Actual time and distance to your desired location may vary
depending on real-time scenarios like traffic or route diversions.
Base Fare + (Cost per minute x Time in ride) + (Cost per mile x Ride distance) = Your Estimated Fare

Ride Loca may charge cancellation fees in order to compensate drivers lost time and effort. You may cancel your ride request within 2 minutes of driver accepting your ride request without any cancellation fee being
applicable. However, after this 2-minute grace period, any cancellation made from your side will result in £4.00 cancellation fee whether the driver has reached your location or is on route. On arrival, the driver will wait at
your location for 5 minutes before starting the meter, and also driver has the right to cancel your ride request if you fail to show up to your ride after (total of 7 minutes) of receiving the notification of arrival, in this situation
you may also be charged the cancellation fee.
Please note: Rider has the right to cancel the ride without any cancelation fees being applicable if your driver is running later than 5 minutes of estimated time of arrival.

At the end of the ride you will receive a notification that he ride has been completed and you will be shown a summary screen of the trip giving you details of ride and total fare. This information will also be displayed on
drivers phone. At this point you can view your invoice and rate your driver.

your driver (1 to 5 star). You must share your feedback upon completing your trip. Things to consider from your side maybe driver behavior, driving skills, car cleanliness and overall quality of service Your driver is not
able to view the ratings that you have left for them. Your feedback helps us improve your ride experience and helps us maintain and improve our services.

Your estimated fare range should match the metered fare with a small variance unless agreed fixed out of town fare. If however you feel that the driver has deliberately taken longer route or for any other reason you feel
the fare has been miscalculated, please do not hesitate to contact our in app support team.
All the details of your previous ride details are saved automatically in your trip history. Simply open the app and on Hamburg menu select your trips. This will open up your trip history. From here please select the ride that
you feel you have been incorrectly charged for then, quote the ID number with your complaint within our RideLoca app live chat support and have for an immediate response. Our customer service support team is able to
track your journey and will conclude the correct course of action. If the you have been overcharged the support team will issue of the refund the difference back onto your payment card immediately.

Yes absolutely. We only work with licensed drivers that have been CRB and medically checked & have been verified by the local council. We do not compromise when it comes to safety, we utilize the use of technology
and have built-in app safety features, where you can share your live trip details with your family and friends with tap of a button as our systems are constantly monitoring the rides to enhance your safety

It’s easy to add an emergency contact with Ride Loca
Open Ride Loca app and press the 3 lines or Hamburg menu
Press the top highlighted yellow profile field with your name on it, this will further give you options, press the last option with (add emergency Contacts). This will take you to a new screen with option to Configure your
emergency contacts
Press add contacts as this will request you to access your contacts list from where you can select your emergency contacts.
Your selected contacts will be saved in on our system and will be notified in case of emergency option triggered. Remember you can add up to three contacts maximum

On completing your ride request you will automatically receive a trip receipt through the email. It is important that you provide us with your most up to date email address.

All the details of your previous ride details are saved automatically in your trip history. Simply open the app and on Hamburg menu select your trips. This will open up your trip history. Alternatively, you
can search your email inbox for trip receipts.

Currently there are three options to contact us.
1. Via the App: (on the main Hamburg menu select chat with us) from here press support and you can start a chat support through the RL app.
2. Via Website: (www.Rideloca.com), click on the message icon and select new conversation button, from here you can start your conversation.
